In clinical and pharmaceutical testing, analkyses of drug compounds and their metabolites are often performed in complex biological matrices, such as plasma and whole blood. Endogenous components in plasma samples can negatively impact the accuracy and precision of analyses. New techniques to remove phospholipids from plasma samples have recently been developed to eliminate ion suppression effects that can occur from these compounds. Method development and additional steps are not required, making this a simple, fast and effective way of removing signal suppression effects.
