Wyatt Technology has opened an office in Uppsala, Sweden, for the company’s latest European venture, Wyatt Technology Scandinavia. The company hopes that this new office will drive sales in Scandinavia and increase the levels of local service and support.

The office will be headed by Dr Tomas Sandberg, who, the company reports, has an extensive background in the biotechnology field, as researcher, inventor as well as cofounder of a biotech company.

It will handle sales and support of the company’s entire product line, including the company’s flow-field flow fraction system for separating nanoparticles and macromolecules as well as its multiangle light-scattering (MALS) detector, refractive index detector and a plate reader, which it claims is capable of automating dynamic light-scattering analyses of up to 1536 samples per plate.

In a statement Dr Sandberg said the opening of this new office represents a significant commitment from the company in providing the Scandinavian market with PhD level local service and support.

The company now has full time staff employed in the UK, Benelux, Germany, France and Sweden.
