Welcome to the opening day of LCGC’s coverage of Pittcon 2011 from the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The staff of LCGC is proud to kick off the conference today at 10:00 a.m. with our 2011 Pittcon Theater, comprising live interviews with leading researchers and industry experts about new developments, trends, and applications in gas and liquid chromatography and hyphenated techniques.
Today’s theater schedule starts with three conversations about new developments in GC with Alyssa Andrews-Ashley of the U.S. Pharmacopeia, Jared Anderson of the University of Toledo, and Edward T. Zellers of the University of Michigan.
Our afternoon program focuses on HPLC and UHPLC. Michael Dong of Genentech will discuss UHPLC in the pharma industry, Fabrice Gritti of the University of Tennessee will bring us up to date on new stationary phases for fast chromatography, Mary Ellen McNally of DuPont will compare HPLC and UHPLC, and Luis Colon of the University at Buffalo will address the physicochemical characteristics of chromatographic materials in HPLC.
All interviews take place in booth #3217 on the show floor. Check out the rest of our show daily for exact times, as well as for recommendations of conference sessions to attend and session previews.
