The Analysis of Poly-Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) and Pesticides in Drinking Water According to the Directive EU 2020/2184, including Benzopyrene

The primary danger of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in drinking water is their potential to cause cancer from long-term exposure. Many PAHs are classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, and/or reprotoxic. This webinar will describe the main analytical techniques for the analysis of trace levels of both PAHs and pesticides in GC/MS in drinking water, with particular attention to the exploitation of the Solid Phase Micro-Extraction (SPME) technique.

Particular attention will be given to the use of different SPME fibre types to confidently meet the EU 2020/2184 regulation for the analysis of drinking water.
