John Wiley & Sons released a new gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) database for analytical chemists in detection, identification, analysis, quality control (QC), and quality assurance (QA) in food and food-related industries. The company claims this collection to be curated to streamline analyses across multiple applications in food, flavors, and fragrances manufacturing, product development, and related areas. It focuses on compound classes of importance for food, flavor, fragrance, and cannabis applications, such as essential oils, lipids, volatile organic compounds, terpenes, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and many others.
