Event Overview:

As researchers develop novel oligonucleotide-based biotherapeutics, analytical methods must also evolve to meet scientists’ needs and regulatory requirements for reproducible, high resolution, and sensitive analysis of oligonucleotides. Learn about the types of chromatography compatible with MS detection for oligonucleotide separations for characterization, sequencing, or impurity analysis, including reversed phase with and without ion pair reagents and HILIC. Highly phosphorylated oligonucleotides with modified backbones create the potential for very strong hydrophobic and hydrophilic secondary interactions. This webinar will introduce novel inert column technology that mitigates these interactions to improve peak shape, increase sample recovery and sensitivity, and higher signal to noise for metal-sensitive analytes such as oligonucleotides.

Topics include:

  • Know the separation options for oligonucleotide LC/MS
  • Learn how inert column hardware can save you time
  • Understand how inert columns can improve oligo separations

Speakers:

Dr. Anne Blackwell (Product Manager Bio LC Columns, Agilent Technologies)

Anne is a product manger for bio LC columns at Agilent, with previous experience as a product support scientist for bio LC columns and an LC/MS applications scientist focused on metabolomics. She has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Arizona where she studied mass spectrometry of non-covalent protein assemblies

Dr. Andrew Coffey (Senior Application Scientist, Agilent Technologies)

Andrew Coffey joined Agilent Technologies Biocolumns Applications Team in 2011. He has over 35 years experience in method development, technical support and troubleshooting of reversed phase, ion exchange, size exclusion and many other liquid chromatographic techniques.
