The Restek methanizer (CH4izer) for Shimadzu gas chromatography instruments is designed to provide ppb-level determination of CO and CO2 using a flame ionization detector. According to the company, the unit is factory set to 380 °C (± 1 °C) for optimal catalytic conversion, but the temperature can be adjusted as desired with the touch of a button.
