New Shodex™ IC SI-36 4D Column for Potassium Hydroxide Eluent
Showa Denko’s IC SI-36 4D is a column for anion analysis using potassium hydroxide aqueous solution as eluent.
The sulfate ion elutes after the phosphate ion in columns that use carbonate aqueous solution as the eluent. However, using SI-36 4D, the sulfate ion is eluted faster than phosphate and monovalent bromide ions. Moreover, the SI-36 4D does not require organic solvent to achieve the separation of sulfate and sulfite ions. Phosphate ions are eluted within 15 min, and analysis time is shortened for all eight common anions under gradient conditions.
