Thermo Fisher Scientific (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) announced the signing of a partnership with Symyx Technologies (Sunnyvale, California) to market and sell Symyx Notebook and Isentris decision support software. The collaboration reportedly is a key component of Thermo’s launch of its Thermo Scientific Connects. According to Thermo, providing an electronic laboratory notebook allows more efficient use of laboratory resources and information and consistent compliance with regulatory requirements. The initial focus of the collaboration will be to deliver integration between the Thermo Scientific Watson laboratory information management system (LIMS) and the Symyx Notebook systems.
