RAFA is leading conference in advances in food analysis. The 2013 symposium will be organised again with the emphasis on advanced analytical & bioanalytical technologies and food analysis applications related to food authenticity, food security, food quality and safety and food integrity, being presented by leading scientists through keynote lectures and contributed oral and poster presentations. Following areas will be covered: Allergens; Flavours and odours; Genetically modified organisms (GMO´s); Industrial contaminants; Mycotoxins, marine and plant toxins; Nanoparticles; Packaging contaminants; Pesticide residues; Processing contaminants; Veterinary drug residues; Authenticity, Fraud; Agriforensics; Foodomics; Novel foods & Supplements; Organic crops & Foodstuffs; QA/QC and Chemometrics.

The program will be accompanied by several satellite workshops, vendor and interactive seminars, focused on Ambient mass spectrometry on food and natural products; Step by step strategies for fast development of analytical method; Chemometric data handling; Vibrational spectroscopy; Food safety issues beyond the EU; Opportunities to work in and with a European Scientific Institution (JRC).

An exhibition of the most modern instrumentation recently used in food analysis and other necessary equipment and consumables will be also organized during the symposium.

Moreover, a platform for young scientists to present their scientific work will be offered, a number of RAFA 2013 Student Travel Grants will be provided and the best poster presentations by a young scientists will be awarded with the prestigious RAFA Poster Award and sponsored poster awards.

Oral presentations can be submitted until 31 July 2013, poster presentations until 31 August 2013.
