The annual award encourages and recognizes excellence in measurement research. This is the fifth award presented by Agilent this year for significant contributions to the development of multi-analyte tools for proteomic and genomic biomarkers in pathology aimed at cancer diagnostics.
According to Jack Wenstrand, director of university relations and external research at Agilent, Yu was selected from globally sourced nominations for her work leading to the discovery of several biomarkers associated with prostate cancer.
Jay Walsh, vice president for research at Northwestern University, said: “It’s always a great honour to have the work of a faculty member recognized, especially early in her career.” He added: “The Office for Research congratulates Dr Yu and thanks Agilent Technologies for awarding her this recognition.”
