Waters showcased the breadth and depth of applications for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry at last month’s American Association of Clinical Chemistry annual meeting and Clinical Lab Expo.

The company reports that its portfolio of solutions for the clinical laboratory combines the power of separations science, tandem mass spectrometry, specialized chemistries, software and support services in ways designed to optimize laboratory processes.

This year’s conference features more than 27 presentations on applications for LC–MS including a poster being presented by Waters’ scientists in collaboration with clinical scientists at Newcastle Hospital, UK. The poster was titled “Analysis of metanephrines in plasma by automated solid-phase extraction with ACQUITY Amide hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry”.
