Bruker completes acquisition of Michrom and moves Chemical & Applied Markets division to Fremont, California.
On April 4, 2011, Bruker (Fremont, California) completed its acquisition of Michrom Bioresources, Inc. (Auburn, California), a provider of liquid chromatography instrumentation, accessories, and consumables. Bruker plans to further develop Michrom’s CaptiveSpray Ionization sources for LC–MS, HPLC systems, LC accessories, software, and consumables.
Michrom, now Bruker-Michrom Inc., will operate as part of Bruker’s Chemical & Applied Markets (CAM) division in the areas of research and development and manufacturing. The CAM division has moved its GC–MS operations to a new Bruker facility in Fremont, California, which will house activities in GC–MS and LC–MS R&D and manufacturing, applications development, customer demonstrations, service, and training.
