Chiral Technologies Europe (Illkirch Cedex, France), a wholly owned subsidiary of DAICEL Chemical Industries, announced the acquisition of ChromTech Ltd. (Congleton, UK). The two companies’ combined product lines of enantioselective chromatography columns are designed for separating pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical chiral compounds. ChromTech’s protein-based columns, which function in the reversed-phase mode with mobile phases containing low organic concentrations and having moderate pH values, will complement the DAICEL polysaccharide-based products, according to Chiral Technologies Europe President Dieter Heckmann.
