Determination of Ochratoxin A in Beer by LC-MS-MS

Scientists from the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Department of Analytical Chemistry have derived a new way to test for Ochratoxin A (OTA) in beer.
Using LC-MS/MS ion trap detection, beer can be checked for the mycotoxin that is produced by Aspergillus ochraceus and Penicillium verrucosum and the method is a better option than fluorescence detection
