Dionex Corporation (Sunnyvale, California) announced that its next president, chief executive officer (CEO), and member of its board of directors will be Dr. Frank Witney, effecive April 30, 2009. Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler resigned as president and CEO to accept a new position as CEO of Ruag Holding AG, a Switzerland-based aviation, defense, and technology company. Witney reportedly has 25 years of experience in the life science and analytical instrumentation industry with companies such as Affymetrix, Panomics, PerkinElmer, and Bio-Rad. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health and holds a doctorate in molecular and cell biology from Indiana University.
