Efficient Automated Pyrolysis GC
In this article, the authors describe a pyrolysis technique that is based on the injection of polymer emulsions or solutions using a high-temperature PTV system.
A novel approach for determining the structure and composition of polymers has been developed by scientists at Dow, a leading producer and supplier of chemicals and polymer products. In this article, the authors describe a pyrolysis technique that is based on the injection of polymer emulsions or solutions using a high-temperature PTV system. This approach enables efficient automation and improved determination of pyrolysis breakdown products using GC-FID or GC–MS.
