The American Filtration and Separations Society will be holding its 22nd Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition on May 4–7, 2009, at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota. The conference will offer 12 short courses:

• Ultrafiltration Membranes
• Gas Solid Separation with Fabric Filters

• Wastewater Treatment/Sludge Dewatering
• Liquid Filtration Testing Basics
• Advanced Engine Filtration
Technical sessions begin on Tuesday, May 5, and end at noon on Thursday, May 7. The conference also will offer tours of a few local companies and the Particle Technology Laboratory at the University of Minnesota.
