The Green Chemistry Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of environmentally-friendly research and development processes, will host the 1st International Conference on Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) September 23-25, 2007 at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Green Chemistry Group, a non-profitorganization dedicated to promoting the benefits of environmentally-friendly research anddevelopment processes, will host the 1st International Conference onSupercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) September 23-25, 2007 at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel inPittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Distinguished chemists and academicians from Singapore,Malaysia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, and Nigeria and their US counterparts will introduce and discuss new developments, applications and economics of SFC methodsdevelopment.

SFC is a burgeoning technology used primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. It harnesses the power of one of nature?s most commonelements, CO2, in the drug discovery process.

Dr. John Warner, president and chief technology officer of the Warner-BabcockInstitute for Green Chemistry, will deliver the keynote address on Monday, September 24at 8:00 am. The Scientific Program is comprised of speakers from major pharmaceuticalcompanies such as Proctor & Gamble, Merck, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca andBristol-Myers Squibb. The conference will also feature exhibits, workshops, and postersessions.
