Malvern Instruments (Southborough, Massachusetts) now provides customer support for Viscotek gel permeation chromatography (GPC)–size exclusion chromatography (SEC), dilute solution viscosity, and light scattering systems in India. The products are being managed by Malvern Aimil Instruments Pvt. Ltd. Malvern acquired Viscotek in January 2008. A joint venture between Malvern and Aimil in May 2008 enabled the company to extend technical and applications support for Viscotek customers in that area. Malvern Aimil is headquartered in Mumbai, with staff operating from eight offices in India. The company has “centers of excellence” in Bangalore and Boroda. Web-based services include interactive training, web seminars, and downloadable presentations and recorded seminars.
