Measuring Trans-Fatty Acid Using a Single Capillary GC
As part of a new method developed by researchers from The Nisshin OilliO Group, Ltd., analysis of trans-fatty acids was completed in 20 minutes for non-hydrogenated oils and just 40 minutes for hydrogenated oils.

As part of a new method developed by researchers from The Nisshin OilliO Group, Ltd., analysis of trans-fatty acids was completed in 20 minutes for non-hydrogenated oils and just 40 minutes for hydrogenated oils.
The researchers used 30- to 60-m columns and the results were nearly identical by the AOCS official method using a 100-m column.
