Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) has recently published Mass Spectrometry in the Clinical Laboratory: General Principles and Guidance; Approved Guideline (C50-A) for the appropriate use of MS in the clinical laboratory. Precise measurement approaches, methods verification, assay quality control, sample prep, instrument troubleshooting and interpreting results are all included in the new guide.
The guideline was developed in partnership with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).
