The symposium will be presented Monday, March 9, 2009, 1:30–4:30 p.m. at Pittcon 2009, which will be held March 8–13 in Chicago, Illinois, at McCormick Place South. Speakers will include Peter Flinn (Kelspec Services), “Near-Infrared Spectroscopy: From Sleeper to Activist”; Karl Norris (USDA), “In the Beginning Was: Visible and IR Spectroscopy”; Franklin Barton (ARS-USDA), “NIR — A Journey in Learning”; Phil Williams (PDK Grain), “The Introduction of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy to the World of Commerce”; and Robert A.
