RVM Scientific (Santa Barbara, California), a manufacturer of direct heating/cooling systems for laboratory instruments, has been acquired by Agilent Technologies (Palo Alto, California).
According to Agilent, the acquisition of RVM Scientific's technology expands its solution of products for the gas chromatography market. RVM's products are used to rapidly cool laboratory equipment, reducing cycle times on that equipment.
RVM Scientific was founded in 1993, and is headed by Robert Mustacich. Mustacich joins Agilent in an R&D capacity along with the acquisition.
Inside the Laboratory: The Gionfriddo Group at the University at Buffalo
March 28th 2024In this edition of “Inside the Laboratory,” Emanuela Gionfriddo, PhD, an associate professor of chemistry at the University at Buffalo, discusses her group’s current research endeavors, including using solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coupled to liquid chromatography (LC) and gas chromatography (GC) to further understand the chemical relationship between environmental exposure and disease and elucidate micropollutants fate in the environment and biological systems.
GC–MS Targeted Analysis of PFAS Helps Expand Knowledge of Toxicokinetic Data
March 26th 2024Limited toxicokinetic and toxicologic information is available about a diverse set of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), but methods based on gas chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS) can help unravel some of the mystery.
