Air Liquide UK has completed an investment of over €3 million in the redevelopment of its filling and production facilities in Stoke on Trent, UK. Following the recent acquisition of Scott Specialty Gases, the company will consolidate its speciality gas operations into a Stoke on Trent-based centre of excellence that will be totally dedicated to production, filling and supply. The facility incorporates the company’s new proprietary fill system for the manufacture of calibration mixtures with the assurance of quality and safety. This is complimented by the Acublend filling system, which is dedicated to providing mixtures with repeatability for emissions testing markets.
“Air Liquide UK continues to prove its ongoing commitment to listen to its customers and develop its business infrastructure with major investments to meet customer and market needs”, said Sylvie Villepontoux, managing director for the company.
This investment is expected to deliver a wider and more comprehensive product range. Shorter manufacturing lead times will be supported by an enhanced service offer for the UK market alongside access to worldwide expertise specific to speciality gases applications across environment, industry, universities, science and research.
