The Column speaks to the first post-Jubilee President of The Chromatographic Society - John Lough - as he completes his term of office.

The Chromatographic Society has been supporting the development of separation science for over 50 years and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2006. The first post-Jubilee President of The Chromatographic Society - John Lough - is a Reader in Pharmaceutical Analysis at the University of Sunderland. Alasdair Matheson caught up with John as he completed his term of office to see how things went and what the future holds for the society.
