UHPLC-MS-MS Analysis of Alkylphenols

Researchers from Zhejiang Province Environmental Monitoring Centre (Zhejiang, China) and Xiangtan University (Hunan, China) developed an ultrahigh-pressure liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS-MS) method for analyzing alkylphenols in soil.

Researchers from Zhejiang Province Environmental Monitoring Centre (Zhejiang, China) and Xiangtan University (Hunan, China) developed an ultrahigh-pressure liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC–MS-MS) method for analyzing alkylphenols in soil. They used pressurized liquid extraction followed by solid-phase extraction to prepare the samples for the final analysis. They used a 50 mm x 2.1 mm, 1.7-µm C18 column with gradient elution, a water–acetonitrile mobile phase, and electrospray ionization tandem MS in negative ion mode with multiple reaction monitoring to analyze the extracted alkylphenols.
