Company Description

For over 45 years, Valco Instruments Co., Inc. (VICI) has been the leading designer and manufacturer of standard and custom valves and fittings for precision analytical, biomedical, and biocompatible instrumentation. Our newest products include the C82 line of UHPLC valves, fittings that permit direct connection of 360 µm tubing, nickel clad PEEK and fused silica tubing, the Universal valve actuator, and the C52 platform HPLC injectors and selectors for OEM applications.

Markets Served

VICI products serve the general analytical markets of a broad range of industries such as petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, biomedical, and environmental. In the Americas, Valco markets products directly to end-users, to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and through a small number of authorized dealers. Sales to international markets take place through a network of dealers and distributors, while most OEM sales in Europe and Asia are handled directly by our European office in Switzerland.

Major Products/Services

Valco produces a complete line of analytical valves - for sampling, sample injection, switching, stream selection, on/off, needle, and specialty. We specialize in zero-dead volume fittings and filters for analytical applications, and produce the well known pulsed discharge detectors (PDD). Our newest miniPDD consumes less than one-fifth the amount of helium required by the well-respected PDD used on Agilent and other GC systems. It has nearly the same sensitivity as the original PDD with a slightly lower dynamic range. Our VICI Metronics division produces PEEK, FEP, PFA, and ETFE tubing, ambient temperature gas purifiers, ValcoBond™ GC capillary columns, and Dynacal™ gas calibration standards. The VICI Precision Sampling division manufactures analytical quality syringes, sampling probes, and standard and custom formed stainless and special alloy tubing. VICI AG (Valco International) produces the Jour line of HPLC fittings and lab safety products.

Facilities

With over 120 state of the art CNC machines, our valves, fittings, and detectors are manufactured to exacting tolerances at our facilities in Houston, Texas, and Schenkon, Switzerland. VICI Metronics produces polymeric tubing and gas permeation devices at their new plant in scenic Poulsbo, Washington. VICI Precision Sampling is located in historic Baton Rouge, Louisiana. VICI Canada serves our neighbor to the north from its offices in Brockville, Ontario.
