Varian Acquires Assets of Precision Detectors

Varian Inc. (Palo Alto, California), an analytical instrument developer, has acquired the assets of Precision Dectectors Inc. (Bellingham, Massachusetts), a developer of chromatography detectors and software for gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC). The acquisition has expanded Varian's technologies in the field of macromolecule characterization.
