The 6th International Mass Spectrometry School will take place in Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy) from September 17–22, 2023.

The International Mass Spectrometry School is a six-day school aimed to give a formation in mass spectrometry, starting from fundamentals up to advances, instrumentation and applications, to graduate, PhD, post-doc students, and all those working in different areas of science, ranging from chemistry, biosciences, food, environment, physics to omics sciences, medicine, interested to improve their knowledge and education in mass spectrometry.

This edition returns to Italy, in the magnificent island of Sardinia, for celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The school joins together participants from academia, public and private research centers and industry, and it is an useful occasion for allowing meeting of students and tutors coming from different countries and for creating new links and networking.

Chromatography and Art Collide at Shimadzu Exhibit in Milan

A 10-day exhibit at Milan Design Week in Italy is drawing to a close, but Shimadzu hopes that visitors have recognized the link between science and technology, and art and design.

Elefteria (Elia) Psillakis is a Professor in Water Chemistry at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Greece. She is Head of the Sample Preparation Network of the EuChemS-Division of Analytical Chemistry and the Founder and Director of ExtraTECH Analytical Solutions, a spin-off company of the Technical University of Crete. From 2014–2016, she was the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Research at the Technical University of Crete.

The 72nd American Society for Mass Spectrometry Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics will take place June 2–6, 2024 in Anaheim, California.

Jonathan Edelman began his career as an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. Inspired by his long-standing love of science and natural ease in its commercial aspect, he works towards strategic business solutions in the chromatography field. Currently in business development at Restek, he volunteers his time to various nonprofit organizations within the chromatography community. Edelman serves as Treasurer of the ACS SCSC; Chair of the organizing committee for the ISCC/GC×GC 2021 conference; President emeritus of the Chromatography Forum of Delaware Valley and Washington Chromatography Forum; and Founder and President of the Separation Community Mixer.
