Company Description

CryoXtract delivers solutions to preserve biospecimen integrity and improve data quality. The company's proprietary automated and manual solutions enable frozen aliquotting from frozen tissue, biofluids, and other unique, high-value biospecimens-eliminating their potential degradation due to thawing, maximizing biosample integrity, and optimizing scientific outcomes. CryoXtract products support critical applications in genomics, proteomics, microbiome research, research pathology, drug development, and QA/QC. Through research collaborations, CryoXtract has demonstrated the improvements frozen aliquotting can provide to stabilize small molecule and peptide drugs. CryoXtract is a subsidiary of Allied Minds, an innovative U.S. science and technology development and commercialization company.

Chief Chromatographic Techniques Supported

The frozen aliquotters from CryoXtract preserve matrix and compound stability in analytical and bioanalytical samples. For labile analytes, frozen core aliquotting improves the quality, accuracy, and reproducibility of any chromatographic assay.

Markets Served

CryoXtract's frozen aliquotting technology offers automated laboratory solutions to protect and preserve the integrity of valuable frozen samples for clinical research, basic research, and drug development. CryoXtract's automated frozen aliquotting systems are suited for the analysis of unstable drugs or their metabolites in tissues and biofluids. In addition to bioanalysis in drug discovery and development, CryoXtract's automated frozen aliquotting systems are used for research in areas including clinical trials, microbiome, biobanking, and molecular pathology.

Major Products/Services

CryoXtract's CXT 750 fully-automated frozen sample aliquotter processes frozen biofluid specimens at -80 °C, extracting multiple frozen aliquots from a sample and eliminating freeze-thaw cycles. Once loaded, the instrument manages samples, cryotube capping and decapping, frozen coring, frozen aliquot dispensing, and probe cleaning between samples. CryoXtract's CXT 353 semi-automated benchtop instrument extracts multiple frozen aliquots from samples including tissue, feces, serum, plasma, whole blood, urine, and other biofluids. Parent sample and aliquots are maintained between -80 °C and -150 °C, eliminating freeze-thaw cycles. The instrument accommodates various tube sizes and sample volumes. It can also access and preserve rare samples, analyze labile drug molecules, reanalyze samples, and streamline process workflows.
