Session 1100
Room 119B
This session will be presided over by Ibolya Molnar-Perl of L Eotvois University.
Adrienne Brockman of Penn State University will kick off the session with a talk on the analysis of wastewater samples for characterization of drug usage.
Molnar-Perl, the session host, will discuss the determination of steroids in the Danube River. Joaudimir Castro Georgi will complete the first half of the session with a presentation on mercury speciation with GC-ICP-MS.
Several talks will cover the analysis of volatile organic compounds. Daniel Y. Pazo of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will present an automated method for the analysis of VOCs in cigarette smoke by SPME-GC-MS. Fallon Moliere, also from the CDC, will discuss the measurement of VOCs in urine by isotope dilution internal standardization. And Ilaria Ferrante of Dani Instruments will address the use of dynamic headspace for VOCs at trace levels in environmental matrices.
Following the break, Melinda T. Pham of Penn state will present a high-throughput environmental forensic study for identifying sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The session will wrap up with a presentation by Karl Organtini of Penn State of the analysis of native compounds generated during combustion and their metabolites.
High-Throughput 4D TIMS Method Accelerates Lipidomics Analysis
April 25th 2024Ultrahigh-pressure liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS) had been previously proposed for untargeted lipidomics analysis, but this updated approach was reported by the authors to reduce run time to 4 min.
