A look what’s in store for chromatographers who attend HPLC 2024 in Denver, Colorado from 20–25 July 2024.

It is my pleasure to invite you to participate at the 52nd International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques (HPLC 2024) which will be held from Saturday through Thursday, 20–25 July 2024, in Denver, Colorado, USA. The HPLC symposium series is known as the internationally leading conference on liquid separations and related technologies.

This year the program will span separation science in liquids and supercritical fluids, innovations in sample preparation, column technology, theoretical insights on chromatographic improvements, hyphenated and multidimensional methods, and electrically driven methods. Cutting-edge microscale separation devices and their applications for disease detection and biomarker discovery will be highlighted. State-of-the-art methods for applications, such as nucleic acid separations and detection, proteomics, glycomics, and of course multi-omics will be discussed.

Additionally, the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning for method development will be described.

Plenary and keynote presentations by leading scientists in the field will be provided. Most presentations, oral and poster, will be from abstracts submitted by participants, which allow new innovations to be presented across the large span of liquid separations. Short courses, tutorials, and a large exhibition along with vendor seminars will provide participants the opportunity to see state-of-the-art technology.

The program is designed to provide insightful presentations that will be appealing to analytical scientists in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, as well as academics and environmental studies.

The annual HPLC conference hosts a number of award presentations and a recently formed competition. The Csaba Horváth Award recognizes his contributions to HPLC and his strong interest in fostering careers of young scientists and engineers working in the field of separation science.

The Uwe D. Neue Award recognizes scientists that have made and continue to make significant contributions to the field of separation science, in honor of the legacy of Uwe D. Neue, late scientist and Waters Corporate Fellow. Awards for the top ten best posters will also be provided. Finally, the HPLC Tube competition is a recent addition to the programming. The HPLC Tube is a scientific contest for the best video in which authors present the impact of their research on societal needs. Please see the conference website for more details on each of these.

Join us in the mile high city where HPLC 2024 is driving the field to new heights! Take part in unique opportunities for colleagues to interact and for vendors to highlight their current science and instrumentation. Don’t miss the conference gala at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Registration for the conference is open and we are accepting abstracts for presentations. Look for more details on our website at https://hplc2024-symposium.org. I look forward to LCGC readers joining us at HPLC 2024!
