LCGC International Announces “From Sample to Verdict": A New Series on Forensic Chromatography
During National Forensic Science Week, on September 15, LCGC International will release a one-day online series titled, “From Sample to Verdict.” This series will spotlight how chromatography is contributing to the advancement of forensic analysis, and how innovation in analytical science is improving law enforcement and investigative practices in the modern era.
Forensic science is a multidisciplinary field that applies scientific principles and analytical techniques to investigate crimes and uncover the truth behind criminal activity.
Among the many tools used in forensic investigations, chromatography stands out as a powerful method for separating, identifying, and quantifying chemical substances within complex mixtures. Its precision and reliability make it indispensable for uncovering chemical evidence—whether linking suspects to crime scenes, verifying the authenticity of materials, or determining causes of death. Forensic science is a discipline that involves using analytical tools and methodologies to investigate crimes and provide scientific evidence to resolve crimes (2). Chromatography plays a vital role in forensic science by enabling the precise separation, identification, and quantification of chemical substances in complex mixtures. Its ability to separate complex mixtures into individual components provides investigators with the chemical evidence needed to link suspects to crimes, verify authenticity, or determine causes of death.
LCGC International is excited to announce that on September 15th, during National Forensic Science Week, we will be releasing a one-day online content series titled, “From Sample to Verdict.”
