Phenomenex Inc., (Torrance, California), will present a workshop, "A Critical Analysis of Fast LC Technologies," at the 2009 Pittsburgh Conference in Chicago. The session is scheduled for 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 11 in Room S404d at McCormick Place. Speakers include Todd Maloney of Eli Lilly, Jennifer Cunliffe of Schering-Plough, Charles Rod Mcilwrick of Merck KGaA, and Jessica Jarman of SABIC Innovative Plastics, as well as Jason Anspach and Michael McGinley of Phenomenex. This timely workshop will cover a comparison of current Fast LC technologies, a discussion of applications in polycarbonate resin analysis, and pharmaceutical method development. Analyses of fused-core silica versus particulate media and the use of monolithic columns in Fast LC will also be presented.

The session included new approaches for analysing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polychlorinated alkanes (PCAS), Mineral Oil Hydrocarbons (MOH), and short- and medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs and MCCPs).
