Silver Awards were presented to Paraytec (York, United Kingdom) for the ActiPix and ThermoFisher Scientific (San Jose, California) for the LTQ ETD system. Bronze Awards were presented to Bruker Optics (Billerica, Massachusetts) for the ALPHA FT-IR system and Horiba Jobin Yvon (Edison, New Jersey) for the Activa system.
Many exhibitors regard Pittcon as the premiere industry event and the ideal time and location to introduce advances in analytical instrumentation. Members of the press have acknowledged the numerous products introduced to Pittcon each year by establishing the Pittcon Editors' Awards. Editors meet to nominate, discuss, and contemplate the most significant achievements in the industry. Then they vote on the product to present with the gold, silver, and bronze awards.
