In this month's LCGC Blog, Hayley Brawley and Alexia Kreinbrink explore the challenges facing chromatographers when exploring the complex world of metal speciation.

Alexia Kreinbrink is a postdoctoral research associate at Texas A&M University. She works in Dr. Paul Lindahl’s lab to develop liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry methods for identifying biometal complexes. Alexia earned her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Texas A&M University, where her focus was on zinc metallocomplex speciation in yeast and E. coli.
