A meeting review of the 3rd International conference on Packed-column Supercritical Fluid Chromatography.
Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - 22–23 July 2009. Leading chromatography scientists from major pharmaceutical companies gathered recently for SFC 2009 to exchange views and discuss recent developments. An increasing number of supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) applications are currently emerging along with a significant evolution of vendor supported instrumentation. SFC is an environmentally friendly mode of separation science promoted by the Green Chemistry Group, organizers of the meeting. This cutting-edge technology, which attracted approximately 150 participants, is widely applied in drug discovery, drug development and purification processes. The Green Chemistry Group, a non-profit corporation, is dedicated to promote and encourage green and sustainable chemistry, including green analytical and purification techniques throughout the world.
