Peak Scientific Instruments, Scottish manufacturer of nitrogen, hydrogen and air generators has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2011.
Robin MacGeachy, the company’s managing director commented “Every week we have engineers and sales people travelling to every corner of the globe spreading the news. This award is recognition of their hard work and many weekends spent travelling away from home. Against the current economic climate it is a significant achievement.”
In a statement the company reported that the management and staff were delighted to receive the Queen’s Award in 2004 and 2007. Accepting the award for the third time, the company attributed the success to their international team, communication throughout the world by means of their exhibition team and client relationships through regular visits to the regions allowing increased awareness and knowledge of the products.
The company prides itself on service, which it claims is shown through its team of support engineers based in key locations throughout the world. Their product knowledge and ability has ensured that they have beaten international competition to win business worldwide.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade has been awarded on the advice of the prime minister after examination by an Advisory Committee composed of leading individuals from industry, commerce, trade unions and government. The company attributes the appointment to its substantial and sustained increase in export earnings.
