Camilla Liscio

Camilla Liscio is Principal Scientist at Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions UK and Ireland, where she specialises in helping scientists implement analytical automation and make more informed decisions using data. With a PhD in Analytical Sciences and 21 years’ experience across academia and industry, Camilla has dedicated her career to bridging traditional analytical chemistry, laboratory automation and connected analytical workflows.

Her journey began at the University of Genoa, Italy, followed by a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship in the UK, before moving into industry. At the National Measurement Laboratory at LGC, she worked as a researcher in metrology, developing a strong foundation in measurement science and analytical quality. Since 2016, she has focused on developing automation strategies for hyphenated techniques, helping laboratories improve workflow efficiency, robustness and performance across a range of application areas.

Passionate about knowledge sharing, Camilla regularly speaks at conferences and training events, contributing to conversations around analytical automation, data analytics and sustainable analytical science. Through her LinkedIn initiative, Chemistry of Insights, she explores emerging trends, demystifies complex concepts and supports scientists navigating the evolving landscape of modern analytical workflows.

Away from the laboratory and the world of workflows, Camilla enjoys cooking, crafting and camping with her Japanese Spitz, Scintilla — her fluffy adventure companion.
