Laura Righetti explains why quantification, not instrumentation, still keeps mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) out of routine food safety testing.

Laura Righetti is assistant professor in analytical chemistry at Wageningen University and Wageningen Food Safety Research. Her research focuses on small molecules (both natural toxins and bioactive metabolites) and on the development of non-targeted mass spectrometry-based methodologies to comprehensive detect them.
