The ACHEMA 2024 trade show will take place this year in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 10–14th, 2024.

ACHEMA 2024 will bring together experts and decision makers in the process industries for an exciting week that will introduce the exciting innovations and current, ongoing research in industry.

With service providers and manufacturers from over 50 countries presenting their products for pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology research and manufacturing, as well as energy and environmental services, ACHEMA is an important show for the international process industries and their suppliers (1).

There are several reasons why ACHEMA 2024 is a great show to attend. For one, ACHEMA is an important showcase that serves as a driving force that brings together key decision makers, experts, and solution providers in the process industry that is unlike any other trade show. For two, ACHEMA provides a wide variety of service and technological offerings, serving as a “one-stop-show” (1). For three, it serves as a gathering place to facilitate extensive networking with other professionals in the process industry.

Chromatography and Art Collide at Shimadzu Exhibit in Milan

A 10-day exhibit at Milan Design Week in Italy is drawing to a close, but Shimadzu hopes that visitors have recognized the link between science and technology, and art and design.

Elefteria (Elia) Psillakis is a Professor in Water Chemistry at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Greece. She is Head of the Sample Preparation Network of the EuChemS-Division of Analytical Chemistry and the Founder and Director of ExtraTECH Analytical Solutions, a spin-off company of the Technical University of Crete. From 2014–2016, she was the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Research at the Technical University of Crete.

The 72nd American Society for Mass Spectrometry Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics will take place June 2–6, 2024 in Anaheim, California.

Jonathan Edelman began his career as an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. Inspired by his long-standing love of science and natural ease in its commercial aspect, he works towards strategic business solutions in the chromatography field. Currently in business development at Restek, he volunteers his time to various nonprofit organizations within the chromatography community. Edelman serves as Treasurer of the ACS SCSC; Chair of the organizing committee for the ISCC/GC×GC 2021 conference; President emeritus of the Chromatography Forum of Delaware Valley and Washington Chromatography Forum; and Founder and President of the Separation Community Mixer.
