LCGC North America is seeking nominations for the 9th Annual Emerging Leader in Chromatography award, to be awarded in 2016.

The Emerging Leader award recognizes the achievements and aspirations of a talented young separation scientist who has made strides early in his or her career toward the advancement of chromatographic techniques and applications. The winner will be featured on the cover of a 2016 issue of LCGC and in an interview that will be featured in our electronic newsletter, e-Separation Solutions, and on the LCGC website

CRITERIA
Candidates for the LCGC Emerging Leader in Chromatography award must work in the field of separation science. In 2016, candidates must be within 10 years of receiving their highest degree, and must have made significant practical contributions to the field of separation science that have helped advance the state of the art in the application of chromatography. Weight will be given to candidates who have taken a leadership role at their university, institute, or place of business.

You may nominate a colleague or yourself. Please e-mail the following items to Laura Bush, the editorial director of LCGC, at [email protected]

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PERSON YOU ARE NOMINATING
In a Word document, please provide the following information about the person you are nominating:
- Full name
- Organization
- Current job title
- Business address
- Year highest degree was earned, and from where (institution and location)
- Area(s) of focus of work
- Key contributions to the field of separation science
- Number of oral and poster presentations at scientific conferences
- List/highlights of work as a journal reviewer
- Key awards

CV AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
The nominee’s resume or CV must be submitted as a Word or PDF file, along with a minimum of two letters of recommendation from members of the separation science community with unrelated affiliations.

Please note that this call for nominations is for the 2016 award. The winners of the 2015 LCGC Emerging Leader and Lifetime Achievement awards will be announced this fall and will be honored at an award symposium in the Pittcon 2015 technical program.
