LCGC and Spectroscopy magazines are seeking contributed manuscripts for an October 2017 supplement on environmental analysis.

Manuscript scope and format

Articles for this special issue should address issues in environmental analysis using chromatographic, mass spectrometry, or spectroscopic techniques, or a combination of those. Suggested topics include the analysis of a wide range of environmental contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products, disinfection byproducts (DBPs), dioxins, furans and biphenyls, persistent organic pollutants (POPs), phthalates, heavy metals or metals speciation, the fate and transport of nanoparticles, or other relevant topics, such as the proper use of reference materials.

Manuscripts should be approximately 2500­­–3500 words long, plus up to eight figures and tables combined. Manuscripts should follow a standard experimental article format, including an abstract of 150–200 words. Figures and tables, along with their captions, should appear at the end of the manuscript, and figures also must be sent as separate files, preferably in JPG, TIF, PNG, PPT, or XLS format. References should be called out using numbers in parentheses and listed at the end of the manuscript in numerical order.

The submission deadlines for this special issue have been extended to the following dates:

          Completed manuscripts:            August 14, 2017
