The Pittcon networking committee has announced the topics for the conferee networking sessions that will take place during Pittcon 2011.

The Pittcon networking committee has announced the topics for the conferee networking sessions that will take place during Pittcon 2011, to be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Sessions will start on Sunday 13 March and continue through Wednesday 16 March.

According to the committee, these sessions provide a networking opportunity for conferees with similar interests to get together in an informal setting to brainstorm and share ideas.

Session topics vary and will include chromatography, data analysis, spectroscopy, and laboratory management. There will be 28 sessions; 20 new topics and eight repeated from last year’s programme.

Current events and popular topics such as food safety of seafood from the Gulf, innovation patents and techniques in 2D gas chromatography will feature. The new titles that have been announced include The Role of Analytical Chemists in an Age of High End Instrumentation and Robotization, Analytical Methods for Oil-contaminated Seafood from the Gulf Oil Spill, Biofuels — What Do We Need to Know to Effectively Use, Store and Transport Them and Comprehensive 2D Gas Chromatography.
