The Research Awards will be presented today, at the beginning of the Biemann Medal Lecture session in the Murphy Ballroom, at 4:45 pm. The Research Awards promote the work of academic scientists within the first four years of joining the tenure track or research faculty of a North American University at the time the award is conferred.
The 2019 awards will be presented to James F. Davies of the University of California, Riverside; Nicolas L. Young of Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas; and Eleanor Browne of the University of Colorado, in Boulder, Colorado. Callie Cole of Fort Lewis College, in Durango, Colorado, will receive the Research Award for research at a primarily undergraduate institution.
