The ROXY product line of Antec is a perfect fit for on-line Electrochemistry/MS and brings Electrochemistry (EC) to the fingertips of every mass spectrometrist
The ROXY product line of Antec is a perfect fit for on-line Electrochemistry/MS and brings Electrochemistry (EC) to the fingertips of every mass spectrometrist.
Using Electrochemistry up-front MS allows to mimic many of natures Redox (enzymatic) reactions in only few seconds. In drug/xenobiotic metabolism it generates metabolites similar to those generated during in vivo metabolic processes (P450), but in a significantly shorter time span (seconds vs. days or weeks) without any interfering components (no isolation steps required). In protein chemistry (Proteomics) the use of EC allows for fast and gentle reduction of the S-S bonds without any interfering harsh chemicals (e.g., DTT, TECP) resulting in superior identification by MS. Stability testing of nutrients, flavor and flagrances, etc., are other application areas where EC/MS provides immediate results.
Consequently, the generation of specific oxidation products, e.g., metabolites (phase I and II), cleavage products (oxidative or reductive), degradation products, reactive intermediates, etc., has now become feasible and supreme control of any conceivable Redox reaction is assured with the ROXY EC system.
The ROXY™ EC system is the ideal platform for the analysis of single compounds. For fully automated analysis of numerous and complex samples the ROXY™ EC/LC system is the instrument of choice.

Identifying and Rectifying the Misuse of Retention Indices in GC
December 10th 2024LCGC International spoke to Phil Marriott and Humberto Bizzo about a recent paper they published identifying the incorrect use of retention indices in gas chromatography and how this problem can be rectified in practice.
Overcoming Common Challenges to Determine Residual Impurities Using IC in APIs with Limited Water
December 10th 2024Organic solvents are generally not compatible with ion chromatography (IC) systems. The approach presented here assists the use of organic solvents for sample preparation and provides a mechanism for the removal of the organic solvents from the chromatographic flow path.
