RVM Scientific (Santa Barbara,California), a manufacturer of direct heating/cooling systems for laboratory instruments, has been acquired by Agilent Technologies (Palo Alto, California).
According to Agilent, the acquisition of RVM Scientific's technology expands its solution of products for the gas chromatography market. RVM's products are used to rapidly cool laboratory equipment, reducing cycle times on that equipment.
RVM Scientific was founded in 1993, and is headed by Robert Mustacich. Mustacich joins Agilent in an R&D capacity along with the acquisition.
