Shimadzu Opens Japanese Innovation Hub
Shimadzu Corporation (Kyoto, Japan) has opened the Shimadzu Tokyo Innovation Plaza at KING SKYFRONT in the Tonomachi district of Kawasaki City, Japan, as a new location for the analytical and measuring instruments division. It will promote innovation for developing new analytical and measuring instrument applications, and offer state-of-the-art laboratory spaces to build relationships with research institutions and customers around the world.
Shimadzu opened its healthcare R&D centre for healthcare-related research in 2019 and opened a future collaboratory facility at the technology research laboratory site in 2022. The Shimadzu Tokyo Innovation Plaza will serve to strengthen Shimadzu’s software R&D capabilities for analytical and measuring instrument applications and specifying analytical conditions.
