Potency testing in cannabis, hemp, and cannabinoid products is required in every region where the use and production of these products is permitted by law. Although ostensibly a simple HPLC testing method, it can be fraught with potential pitfalls. These include poor extraction efficiency, poor methodology, and outcome bias from lab to lab.
